    nine month twenty-two Professor Ye Jianhong, a researcher at Wuhan Institute of geotechnical mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was invited to give a lecture entitled "waves" to young teachers of the Academy / earthquake - Structure - Development, application and latest development of calculation models for seabed foundation interaction. Professor Ye has been engaged in numerical simulation research and application software development of marine structure and geotechnical engineering for a long time. In this report, Professor Ye introduced waves / A numerical model for the coupling effect of seismic and other dynamic boundary conditions on marine structures and seabed foundation and its application prospect. President Zhang Rongtang, vice president Liu Jiesheng, and young teachers related to geotechnical engineering attended the academic report.

      


Professor Ye pointed out that under the action of wave / earthquake and other dynamic conditions, there will be strong interaction between marine structures and seabed foundation, which is rarely involved in previous studies. Under the action of external force, the pore water pressure in seabed foundation changes significantly, which affects the effective stress of seabed foundation soil, and then causes foundation deformation and even foundation liquefaction. The liquefaction of seabed foundation further affects the marine structure embedded in the foundation, which is not conducive to the stability of the structure. In order to accurately evaluate the stability of offshore structures under complex external dynamic conditions, Professor Ye led the team to put forward the "wave / earthquake structure seabed foundation interaction model", and developed the relevant integrated numerical software, which provided a scientific basis for the stability evaluation of offshore structures in China.


Professor Ye's academic report has aroused the strong interest of young teachers in our college. In the academic exchange, many young teachers in our college raised questions about the contents of Professor Ye's report and based on their own research direction, and got Professor Ye's heartfelt guidance. Finally, Professor Ye encouraged young teachers that numerical model is as important as physical experiment. It is an important scientific research method to study numerical model based on the laws of physical experiment.
